Salary Supplement National Board Certified Teacher

The former Teacher Salary Supplement Program (TSSP) applications and funding were retired and replaced by the new Salary Supplement for Highly Needed Areas (SHiNE) Program. If you apply within this system for TSSP or SHiNE, it will be denied! Contact your local education agency (LEA) for SHiNE program qualification

This site is only for the Salary Supplement for National Board-Certified Teachers (SSNBCT) applications.

LEAs may view previous years’ reports for both TSSP and SSNBCT.

Applications must be submitted by Mar 31st, 2026 11:59 PM.

All appeals must be received by the SSNBCT Coordinator by 5:00 PM on April 30th of the program year.

To be considered for any SSNBCT certification bonus, an eligible educator must create an account, confirm the email for the account, and then apply before the posted deadline of March 31st. An account profile is created during the initial application and does not need to be re-established for future participation.

For returning eligible educators, their application will auto-renew if they qualified for any portion of the bonus in a previous program year. For applicants who were ineligible and did not receive a bonus, the application will not automatically renew. Applicants must reapply each program year until they have met the program requirements and qualified for the funds.

This service site is not currently used for SSNBCT certification pre-payment.

The SSNBCT certification bonus is paid during the final payment at the end of the program year.
